Extra Care provides assistance for anyone driving your one nominated vehicle. You can add other vehicles at an extra cost.
Plus, caravans and trailers are included when towed by your nominated vehicle.
It depends on where you drive. Based on our current members, we suggest:
RACV Total Care if you travel long distances, drive an electric vehicle or multiple cars.
RACV Extra Care if you usually stay local, but take frequent trips out of town.
RACV Roadside Care if you're more of a city driver and rarely travel to regional or rural areas.
If you have a caravan or trailer, Total Care or Extra Care might suit you – they both include a level of assistance if the towing vehicle breaks down. Plus, you'll receive assistance if you get locked out of your caravan or it gets a flat tyre.

Emergency Roadside Assistance provides breakdown support for mechanical issues and problems like flat batteries, punctured tyres and lockouts.
Car Insurance
This is a separate product to Emergency Roadside Assistance. All types of Car Insurance provide cover for damage you may unintentionally cause to people’s property or vehicles during a listed incident.
Depending on your level of cover, Car Insurance may also provide cover for damage caused to your vehicle during a listed event, such as collision, theft or attempted theft, vandalism, or fire.
If you’ve been an RACV Member for 5 years or more, you get a loyalty discount on an annual roadside assistance subscription as part of our Years of Membership benefits#.
