Wait for help
We'll send either a maxi taxi or one of our patrol vans, depending on your emergency or preference.

Get on your way again
If we've sent a maxi taxi, simply tell the driver where you'd like to go (up to $50 per trip). If we sent a patrol, the mechanic will replace your tyre.

No, Bikes Assist doesn't cover personal injury, third party or theft insurance.
You can insure your bike as a portable item in your Contents Insurance policy.
If you'd like additional cover for a physical emergency or injury, you might consider ambulance cover.
Unfortunately, Bike Assist doesn't cover e-scooters but does cover all types of bicycles including mountain, road and electric bicycles.
If you need assistance for a broken down mobility scooter or wheelchair, we can help with Emergency Wheelchair and Scooter Assist.
RACV Bike Assist is currently only operating in Victoria.
We'll arrange a taxi service to bring you and your bike to a chosen destination and will cover up to $50 for the taxi callout.
If you need to repair a punctured tyre, we help cyclists in metropolitan Melbourne.
We'll always send a suitable taxi to bring you and your e-bike to your chosen destination after a breakdown (up to $50 value). This includes maxi taxis.
Due to the range and variation in e-bike types, we may not be able to replace all punctured tyres on the spot.
If you've got Total Care, roadside assistance for your bicycle or e-bike is covered under your subscription. Otherwise, you can buy Bike Assist online or call 13 72 28 and we can sort this for you.
Yes, if you don't have RACV Bike Assist, we can sign you up when you call. There are no waiting periods – you can access Bike Assist services as soon as you've joined.
Yes, we'll arrange an appropriately-sized vehicle that will fit your bike. Most of the time this will be a maxi taxi.
We'll send a taxi anywhere you've stopped riding in Victoria, and bring you and your bike to your chosen destination.
Call us on 13 11 11 if you can no longer ride for any reason.
If you've stopped riding anywhere in Victoria and there's road access to you, we'll send a taxi.
There may be times where the wait for a taxi is longer than expected, but we won't leave you stranded.
Bike news and advice
# RACV Years of Membership: at 5 years Bronze cardholders receive a 5% discount, at 10 years Silver cardholders receive a 10% discount, at 25 years Gold cardholders receive a 15% discount and at 51 years Gold 50 cardholders receive a 20% discount.
