We have plumbers, electricians and locksmiths available 24/7 to help with home emergencies. You can also take the stress out of the moment by getting an annual plan for unlimited* emergency callouts - we’ll be there whenever you need emergency trades.
Plus, we can help you with a wide range of general maintenance, repairs and improvements around the home. Qualified tradies are ready to help you with electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, gas services, painting, carpentry and more.

Who is eligible
Anyone can get a quote for home improvements or access emergency trades, even if you're not a member.
If you want access to unlimited* emergency callouts per year, you can purchase an Emergency Home Assist annual plan. This will also provide you with an RACV Membership and access to a range of benefits and discounts.

Yes, renters can use RACV Trades to complete work in their rental property, if the work is carried out in line with the Residential Tenancies Act 2021.

Book or check on a job
If it’s not an emergency, you can get a quote online. Tell us what you need done online or over the phone.
Once your tradie has assessed the job, which may involve a site inspection, you’ll receive a quote. Your quote is free and there's no obligation to proceed with the job.
If your quote is above $1,000, we generally require a deposit before work begins. This is usually 20% of the total cost.

If you have realised that the job you have submitted is incorrect or has changed, it’s best you contact your tradie directly to let them know. They’ll be able to confirm the changes with you and send you an updated quote.

To reschedule your job booking, it’s best you contact your tradie directly to organise another time that suits you both.

To cancel a job booking, please contact your tradie to let them know as soon as possible.
If you cancel the job on the day of the booking, a cancellation fee may apply to cover your tradie’s time and any specialist parts that are ordered. Cancellations made before the day of the job aren’t charged a cancellation fee, unless the tradie has purchased specialist parts. For more detail read the RACV Trades Terms and Conditions.

For non-urgent repairs, your tradie will contact you within 2 business hours of receiving a quote request to confirm the details of your job.
You'll get a quote from RACV Trades via email, which will have all the job requirements and contact details of your trade provider so you know how to get in touch.
If you’re having trouble contacting your tradie, contact RACV Trades on 13 46 63 and we’re happy to help answer your questions.

If your home repair is an emergency, call us on 13 46 63.
A rapid response plumber, electrician or locksmith will arrive, usually within the hour.
Your repair is likely to be an emergency if it affects the safety or security of your home.

If your tradie identifies that additional work is needed to resolve the underlying issue, they’ll discuss what’s required with you and check that you’re happy with the changes before the cost of the job is updated.
If there’s anything else we can help with around your home, your tradie will capture the details and can arrange a separate quote.

RACV Trades carries a 12-month warranty on labour from the date that work is complete.
If a part or fitting is faulty or doesn’t meet quality standards, RACV Trades is here to help.
If you are unhappy with the quality of the work after it’s completed, the first step is to contact your tradie to see how they can help.
