Only one email address can be linked to your RACV online account.
If you're trying to log in and having trouble, make sure:
- you're using the correct email
- you've already set up your online account, with that email.
You can also try logging in with your member number.

We’ve introduced two-step verification for your online account as our way of double-checking it’s really you.
When you log in, you’ll enter your email or member number and password as usual. Then we’ll send a one-time code to your mobile or email.
A similar verification process will also happen when speak with our team over the phone.
The enhanced security makes it harder for someone else to access your online accounts, including your personal details.

When you log in, you can choose to ‘recognise this device in the future’. If you log in from the same browser or device, you won’t need to verify yourself again for a short period of time.
If you log in from a private window, or a new browser or device, you’ll be asked to enter a verification code.

To protect your security, our system will lock you out of your account for 30 minutes after 5 unsuccessful login attempts.
After 30 minutes, you can either reset your password or get sent a new verification code.

Manage your account
With your online account you can:
- update your personal details
- make payments and update your payment method
- manage your direct debit plan
- view your documents
- update your motor insurance policy
- update your vehicle details
- make a claim
- get quotes and make purchases
- manage your communication preferences and newsletter subscriptions.
We're always improving the way you manage your products online. We regularly add new functionality to your online account.

You can find your products and documents in the RACV App your online account.
From the dashboard you can see your:
- insurance policy numbers
- product expiry dates
- payment details and due dates.
You can also click ‘View details’ next to each product for more detailed information.
To view your documents visit the Documents tab.
For Club members, you can see:
- how many years you've been a member
- your recent transactions.

You can easily update your personal details in the RACV App or your online account. In the app, go to the Account page and click on ‘Personal details’. In your online account, go to ‘My details'.
From there, you can view and update your:
- phone number
- email address
To update your name or date of birth, you’ll need to call us on 13 72 28.

You can create an account via the RACV App or online.
We'll then send you a link to verify your email and set a password.
Once that's done, you can log in to the RACV App and your online account anytime. From here you can:
- view and update your details
- access and upload documents
- make a claim
- make a payment
- view your payment history
- manage your RACV Motor Insurance or Emergency Roadside Assistance.

A Certificate of Insurance outlines details of your cover, such as:
- the policy number
- when it takes effect
- when it expires
- limits
- the price of your premium.
This is sent to you when you buy your insurance policy.
You can also find it via the RACV App, by clicking on 'My Products', and in your online account, by clicking on 'Documents'.
Summary of cover
If you're just after a summary of cover, you can also find this via the RACV App or your online account by clicking on the ‘view details’ next to the relevant product and then clicking ‘view policy summary’.

Cancelling a product

Car insurance
If you have car insurance, you can cancel it via the RACV App or your online account.
In the RACV App, go to ‘My Products’, click on your car insurance and then click ‘Cancel product’ at the bottom of the screen.
On your online account dashboard, click on the policy you’d like to cancel, and then click on the ‘Cancel product’ button at the bottom of the screen.
Other products
To cancel other insurance policies, personal membership, emergency roadside assistance and other products you can:

Become an RACV Member
You automatically become an RACV Member by buying any of our eligible products. This includes roadside assistance, motor or home insurance, Emergency Home Assist or our financial loan products.
You can also buy a personal membership for $55 a year and get access to all the same benefits.

Apply online to become a Club Member. After you apply, our committee will assess your application and let you know if you're successful.
As a Club Member, you'll get access to facilities and benefits at our City Club and Healesville Country Club & Resort.

It depends on what type of membership you want to buy.
You don't need to live in Victoria to become a RACV Personal or Club Member.
You do, however, need to reside in Victoria to become an RACV Member through purchase of RACV Insurance, Emergency Roadside Assistance or Emergency Home Assist.

We have two types of membership, RACV Members and Club Members.
RACV Members:
You’re an RACV Member if you have an annual subscription to home and motor insurance, Emergency Home Assist, roadside assistance, or personal membership.

You'll get access to all the same benefits you would get if you purchased an eligible product.

Our Years of Membership Benefits program# is our way of thanking you for your loyalty.
When you're an RACV Member for at least 5 consecutive years, you get discounts on eligible products.
The longer you’re with us, the more you can save on eligible RACV products:

You’ll need to hold at least one eligible product with us continuously for your Years of Membership Benefits discount to be applied.
You’ll no longer be an RACV Member if you choose to cancel all of your RACV products.
Re-joining in future means you'll start as a Blue Member (0-4 years of membership). You’ll be eligible for loyalty discounts when you reach more than five continuous years.
