What family rides, slides and activities are at Adventure Park Geelong?
There’s plenty to do at Adventure Park Geelong, from waterslides to kid-friendly coasters. Adventure Park Geelong also boasts a 16-acre lake onsite, which you can paddle around in aboard a pedal boat from Shipwreck Harbour. With plenty of local birdlife including resident swans, there’s plenty to enjoy on the water.
Thrilling rides and slides
After a thrill? Head to the Wave Swinger, which will get you soaring through the air and reaching speeds of 30km/h as the tower climbs to its full 12-metre height. Over in the water park, The Tornado is a fast and furious funnel waterslide that shoots riders down a tube before plunging 7.5 storeys down through the eye of the storm, then getting catapulted up the funnel wall to go vertical and experience zero-gravity weightlessness before spiralling down 360-degree twists and turns. Finally, the triple funnel waterslide Tsunami is an adrenaline rush, with tidal waves and whirlpool funnels that swirl you through rips, drops and dark tunnels. These rides are subject to a 120cm height restriction – think around ages 5 to 6 and up.
Family-friendly rides and slides
Crazy Coaster is a fantastic family rollercoaster that takes all the thrills of an adult coaster and recreates it on a smaller scale so that anyone over 95cm can join in the fun. A family of four can even ride together in the same car as it spins 360 degrees and treats riders to action-packed turns and rapid-fire drops.
All ages can enjoy the iconic Ferris Wheel, which gives riders panoramic views over the Bellarine Peninsula, the tropical-themed Lazy River, and the antique Grand Carousel. There’s also the Red Baron, which gives parents and kids the chance to fly their very own miniature bi-plane replica, and the Little Buggy Speedway, which lets little kids take the driver’s seat of their very own safari Jeep.
Toddler-friendly rides and slides
There are several rides for the toddlers too, with a 90cm height restriction that caters to ages 1-2 and up. Enjoy the classic theme park ride Tea Cups, or make a splash on the Wild West Canyon log flume ride and the Gold Rush Rapids waterslide. Air Balloons is the park’s newest ride, allowing you to climb aboard a colourful hot air balloon and rise into the sky, rotating around the 20-metre tower before floating back to earth.
