Smart returns to Australia with EVs: price, range, specs, release date
Car brand Smart returns to Australia this year with a range of eye-catching electric cars, nine years after their last car was sold here.
Designed by Mercedes-Benz in Germany and manufactured in China, the new range of Smart electric cars destined for Australian showrooms will feature a choice of two small SUVs available in either single motor rear-wheel drive or Brabus-branded dual-motor all-wheel drive performance configurations.
While battery specifications are yet to be confirmed for Australian vehicles, it is expected that Smart electric vehicles (EV) will have a potential driving range (WLTP) of 400-455km, depending on model.
