The Skoda Kodiaq seven-seat SUV has been refreshed for 2025 with a new look, new features and pricing that should still appeal to buyers looking for a great value European SUV.

First introduced in 2017, the Skoda Kodiaq won a strong following thanks to its blend of practicality, family-friendly features, and competitive pricing, as well as a seven-year warranty.

The family-sized Skoda Kodiaq is now one of the brand’s best-selling vehicles in Australia, but the sports-oriented and well packaged SUV faces stiff competition from other compelling family haulers including its sibling, the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace and the impressive Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe.

Skoda Kodiaq design and technology

Skoda has carried over its clever packaging tricks into the new Kodiaq, including its popular umbrella hidden in the driver's door, velcro storage container for the boot, a new rear stowage area for second row passengers, a neat screen cleaner and pull up window blinds for the rear doors.

The new Kodiaq has larger internal dimensions too which translates to more room in the third row and increased luggage capacity in the boot. Skoda says it delivers more room than its main competitors including the Kia Sorento and capacious Hyundai Santa Fe. With all seats in play, there's 289-litres storage, with five seats in play that increases by 29-litres over the past model to 794-litres and with all rows folded, the space available increases to 2035-litres, besting the Santa Fe by almost 100-litres and the Sorento by 36-litres.

All variants include the new 13-inch colour touchscreen with integrated satellite navigation and Skoda's new smart dials - a trio of controls that can be configured to carry out a range of functions.

Depending on variant, a suite of advanced driver assist and safety technology has been added to the new Skoda Kodiaq including intelligent park assist which will automatically park the car, turn assist which monitors oncoming vehicles when turning right at a junction, traffic sign recognition and updated lane keeping assistance.
