For enthusiasts, the highlight of the new BMW X3 range is undoubtedly the 3.0-litre M TwinPower turbo six-cylinder in-line petrol engine fitted in the M50 xDrive, the most powerful engine to be fitted to an M Performance model. The new engine produces 295kW and 580Nm and is paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system.

The BMW X3 20 xDrive is fitted with a more accessible 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine generating 140kW and 310Nm and paired with eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.
