For 2025, a new BMW X3 will arrive locally promising enhanced technology, comfort and driving dynamics. Just two variants of the new BMW X3 will be available from launch: X3 20 xDrive and X3 M50 xDrive.

What's new on the 2025 BMW X3?
The new BMW X3 is longer, wider and lower than the outgoing model. Track width on the front and rear has been widened with a lighter but stiffer body and both variants will be equipped with adaptive suspension as standard as well as modified front and rear axle
BMW says these changes will deliver improvements in the X3's agility, handling, cornering stability and long-distance comfort.
In addition to a host of design and engineering updates, the BMW X3 has upgraded infotainment including a high definition curved display. A subscription for BMW's digital premium tech system is included for 90 days.
The 2025 BMW X3 also features the latest version of iDrive and Live Cockpit Professional including head-up display and augmented view for the driver information display.
Both BMW X3 variants come equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system promising increased fuel efficiency.
For enthusiasts, the highlight of the new BMW X3 range is undoubtedly the 3.0-litre M TwinPower turbo six-cylinder in-line petrol engine fitted in the M50 xDrive, the most powerful engine to be fitted to an M Performance model. The new engine produces 295kW and 580Nm and is paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system.
The BMW X3 20 xDrive is fitted with a more accessible 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine generating 140kW and 310Nm and paired with eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.

2025 BMW X3 paint colours
The new BMW X3 is available in seven exterior paint options including Alpine White non-metallic a no cost option on both variants. Six metallic paint colours are available as a no cost option for the M50 sDrive or a $2000 premium for the 20 xDrive.

2025 BMW X3 alloy wheel options
Four alloy wheels are available on the new 2025 BMW X3.
The 20 xDrive is fitted as standard with 19 inch M light alloy wheels fitted with runflat tyres and able to be equipped with snow chains. An optional 20 inch wheel is available for a $2000 option but not available with run flats and not compatible with snow chains.
The M50 xDrive is fitted with standard bicolour 21 inch wheels with an optional jet black colourway available as a no cost option.
2025 BMW X3 upholstery
Four synthetic leather no-cost options are available for the BMW X3 interior. Both variants now use Veganza, a synthetic leather that use 85 per cent fewer CO2 emissions in its production that natural leather. Black, Calm Beige, Espresso Brown and M Alcantara/Veganza are available as no cost options for both X3 variants.
Two BMW Individual Leather 'Merino' options - Black/Atlas Grey and Amber/Atlas Grey are available for a $4000 option on both the X3 20 xDrive and the X3 M50 xDrive.
Buyers of both BMW X3 variants can choose from a brushed aluminium or fine-wood trim, with a $1200 upgrade available that adds a knitted textile instrument panel.
