Non-alcoholic Mulled Wine recipe
This non-alcoholic mulled wine recipe is perfect as a warming beverage for winter cold weather.
In recent years, there has been a huge surge in interest in non-alcoholic beverages as more people shift towards sobriety – and with that comes more inventive mocktail recipes and an increasing ranege of non-alcoholic beers.
One recipe that is easy to make alcohol-free and perfect for winter is mulled wine, which can pair well with a warming winter meal or simply enjoyed on its own.
Thanks to the team at Bourke Street Green, one Melbourne's best cocktail bars, you can now make the perfect non-alcoholic mulled wine at home, a recipe RACV Bar Manager Rob Pierce says is done in much the same way as the classic alcoholic version.
“Add a local non-alcoholic shiraz, fruits and spices to a pot on the stove,” Pierce says. “Then add in the different juices to bring up the level of sweetness.”
“One thing to remember is always start on a low temperature and bring up the heat. You never want to start on a high temperature.”
