Fashion exhibits coming to Victoria - on and off the field
From fashion week catwalks to iconic designer exhibits online, it’s time to let out your inner fashionista and look to better times ahead with these couture events around Victoria.
The month of September signifies many things in the turn of the season - the start of spring, footy finals, the chance to play Earth, Wind & Fire’s ‘September’ on repeat, and of course, fashion festivals galore!
Whilst lockdown has left many feeling flat, these events give us something to look forward to, where we can get excited about spring and summer wardrobes for when we are out and about once again.
Highlighted in the Northern Hemisphere as the end of their summer and getting back to a ‘fresh start’ for their calendar year, here, it’s all about welcoming the warmer weather with brighter prints, less layers and a chance to frolic amongst the fashion set. Down Under, we have followed the trend of a (usually!) stylish September, with 2021’s Fashion Week front and centre, Spring Racing season, and the chance to take off our winter puffer coats and engage in fun fashion once it is safe to again.

Whether you are looking to dress up yourself at one of the many spring fashion events around the state, or you just want to watch the fashions on the field on tv, there’s plenty of fun to be had during the spring fashion season in Victoria. As Coco Chanel herself once said: ‘Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.’ So go out and explore all the fashion the state has to offer.
