There is a certain excitement and anticipation reserved for seeing an acclaimed theatre show in Melbourne. Dressing up, indulging in dinner and drinks and appreciating historic venues in a world-renowned district is all part of what makes going to the theatre, a revered experience.
Now, thanks to a new partnership between RACV and Ticketek, RACV Members can enjoy a whole new suite of benefits, with exclusive offers to access a range of theatre experiences and events in Melbourne’s famed East End.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is playing at the Princess Theatre, with the story set 19 years after the final book in the Harry Potter series. Follow Harry’s youngest son, Albus Severus Potter, through his schooling years at Hogwarts as he grapples with his family’s fame, his sorting into Slytherin House and his friendship with Scorpius Malfoy: the son of Harry’s old enemy Draco.
The new one-part Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play expertly reimagines the original version, taking audiences on a thrilling adventure. The story doubles down on the relationship between Albus and Scorpius, strengthening the much subtler undertones of the original two-part production. SIX The Musical
SIX The Musical is the story of Henry VIII's six wives with added shimmer, some pop princesses and some spectacular musical performances, showing at Melbourne's Comedy Theatre until August 21.
This modern adaptation is not your typical history lesson. Instead, you’ll see Henry VIII’s six wives compete to see who suffered the most at the hands of the King through song, with the ‘winner’ crowned the lead singer of their girl group. Learn more about SIX The Musical here.
The Picture of Dorian Gray
Now playing at the Arts Centre Melbourne until August 7, The Picture of Dorian Gray is a dark period drama of a beautiful but vain young Englishman, Dorian Gray, who makes a wish for eternal youth after seeing himself in a dazzling new portrait.
Throwing himself into a life of luxury, Dorian revels in his forever golden beauty while his portrait becomes more grotesque as it bears the burdens of his excesses.
When Dorian realises that his portrait will age and become tainted with his sins while he remains young and handsome, he descends into debauchery, scandal and cruelty. Learn more about The Picture of Dorian Gray here.
