An Active, Executive, Lifestyle or Access member or in-house guest has access to the fitness centre. Not included in your membership? Explore our upgrade options or get a casual pass during staffed hours.

We recommend new members complete a fitness assessment with one of our trainers before using the centre.

Using our facilities

Your RACV Club Member card is required for access to the fitness centre facilities. If your member card access pass is damaged, lost or stolen, please advise RACV Club Membership immediately.

Staffed hours

Swipe your RACV Club member card at fitness centre reception. Your card will also be required to access the gym and aquatic area.

Unstaffed hours

Enter the fitness centre (gym and squash courts) by tapping your membership or access card at the secured side door. The aquatic facilities will be closed during unstaffed hours.

If your card won’t allow entry, please go to the City Club’s main reception desk, opposite the Bistro on the Ground Floor.

Our team can check your card and give you a temporary pass. Please return this pass to the desk after your workout.

The fitness centre has CCTV security cameras recording 24-hours a day, except in the change rooms. This system is used for security purposes but does not guarantee against harm. You must be cautious when exercising alone or outside staffed hours.

The fitness centre has an emergency phone and a duress button for safety and security. This can be used to alert security in emergencies, for example, if you feel threatened or need medical help.

If you deliberately use emergency equipment inappropriately, you agree to pay for any costs, loss or damages incurred because of this inappropriate use.

All fitness centre staff are qualified to administer first aid and perform CPR, if necessary.

Defibrillators are available in the fitness centre and throughout key areas in the Club.

Borrowing a medical alert button

During unstaffed hours, you can get a personal medical alert button from security on Chancery Level (CL).

You must:

  • sign for the use of the alert button
  • let security know which area you will be training in: the gym or squash area
  • return the alert button to security once your workout is finished.

If the alert is not returned, you’ll be charged $250.

Non-members can only come to the gym during staffed hours. They’ll need to pay a casual fee.

You must not:

  • lend your member card or access pass
  • let anyone else into the fitness centre with your access pass (either members or non-members).

If you break this term, we may suspend or cancel your membership of the fitness centre.

Children under 13 are not permitted in the gym. Parents or guardians must accompany and supervise children aged 13 to 17.
