It is not a legal requirement to insure a caravan in Victoria. However, purchasing caravan insurance can help protect you from significant bills in the event your caravan causes unintentional damage to another vehicle, or in the event of damage or loss occurring to your caravan as a result of an insured event, like fire, flood, storm, theft or attempted theft.
