Logging in
You can log into the app using the same email and password you use to log into your RACV online account.
If you’ve forgotten your username or password, simply go to the login page and click ‘forgot password’ to reset it.
If you don’t have an existing account, you can easily create an account online. We'll then send you a link to verify your email address and set a password.
Once that's done, you can set up a passcode or use biometrics (face or fingerprint recognition) to log into your app faster and easier going forward.

No worries, you can reset your password by clicking the 'Forgot your password' link on the login page. Or visit our reset password page.
What happens next?
Enter the email address you use to log in to your account. We'll send you a link to reset your password.
If you haven't received an email from us, please check your spam folder.
We may ask you to try a different email address, if there is no RACV account linked to the email you entered.

We're serious about keeping your data protected. As your online account and the RACV App contains some of your personal information, we ask you to log in securely with your email and password.
The first time you log into the app, you'll need to set up a 6-digit passcode, with the option of biometrics (face or fingerprint ID) too, so it's easy to log in securely every time.
This will 'lock' your app, so it can only be accessed using your 6-digit passcode or your face or fingerprint recognition. Because of these security measures, you don't need to 'log out' of the app when you've finished using it. There is, however, still an option to 'log out' before exiting the app. If you select this option, you'll need your email and password the next time you log in.

We’ve introduced two-step verification for your online account as our way of double-checking it’s really you.
When you log in, you’ll enter your email or member number and password as usual. Then we’ll send a one-time code to your mobile or email.
A similar verification process will also happen when speak with our team over the phone.
The enhanced security makes it harder for someone else to access your online accounts, including your personal details.

We recommend you close the app instead of logging out. If you log out, you’ll need to go through the login and setup process all over again.
We also recommend you set up a 6-digit passcode or biometrics for an easy, fast and secure way to access the app.
The logout option is available if you’re using the one device to switch between accounts with another person.

Troubleshooting
There’s a few things you can try to get the RACV App to open.
Check for updates
Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed. You can do this by going to your device’s app store and looking for updates.
Restart your device
Sometimes, a simple restart can solve the issue.
Clear app cache (Android users)
Go to Settings > Apps > RACV > Storage > Clear Cache.

Try deleting your current biometric data and re-register it.
For fingerprints
Go to Settings > Biometrics and Security > Fingerprints > Delete and re-add your fingerprints.
For facial recognition
Go to Settings > Biometrics and Security > Face recognition > Delete and re-add your face.

Membership
The easiest way to access your membership card is via the home screen of the RACV App. We don’t have ‘add to wallet’ functionality yet, but may in the future.

Now that you can access your digital membership card via the app, you don’t need to rely on your physical card to access member benefits. You may still like to keep your physical card as a backup.
If you’re an RACV Club Member, you’ll still need your physical club member card to access the Clubs.

Fuel voucher, and fuel and EV station finder
RACV Members can access one fuel voucher per day via the RACV App. When planning to use the voucher, first fill up on fuel at any EG Ampol station. Once you’re in line to pay at the register, open your app, click on the ‘fuel voucher’ on the homepage screen, then click ‘activate voucher’. You’ll have 15 minutes for the cashier to scan your voucher before it expires.

The fuel prices in the app are updated every 15 minutes, based on information provided by the fuel stations. It’s up to the fuel providers to ensure the information is correct and up-to-date.

It sure does. You can use our fuel finder to find Chargefox electric vehicle charging stations across Australia. RACV Members also save 10% on ultra-rapid charging, which charges some vehicles to 80% in just 15 minutes.

Open the Chargefox app and add your RACV Member number to your profile to start saving. You can find your member number at the top of the ‘Account’ page in the RACV App.

Communication options
You can choose to have notifications, like renewal reminders, sent to your phone so you never miss a payment. To turn push notifications on or off, go to the ‘Account’ page in the app. In the section ‘RACV & me’, you’ll see ‘Push notifications’ and you can turn them on or off using the toggle.
