Dear Fellow Member

RACV Board Election 2020

On behalf of the RACV Board of Directors, I hope you and your family are staying safe and well in these challenging and difficult times.

During the past few weeks, members have been sent instructions by email, SMS or post on how to vote in this year’s Board election. As a Club and/or Service member, you are entitled to vote in this year’s election and I encourage you to do so. If you have already voted, thank you for doing so. Otherwise, please find below some information on the election and how to lodge your vote before the voting period closes at 2pm AEST Wednesday, 30 September 2020.

Candidate Information and Guidance

This year there are two board positions for election by Club and Service members. Details of the five election candidates can be found on the RACV website at racv.com.au/ourbusiness.

The Board election process provides for you, as a member, to have the option to appoint me (as RACV President and Chairman of the Board) to act as your proxy to vote on your behalf.

The RACV Board has reviewed the outcome of the comprehensive process for assessment of all candidates and determined the two candidates with the most suitable skills and experience to act as RACV directors. As approved by the RACV Board, I intend to vote proxies granted to me in favour of the following election candidates, John Slattery and Stephanie Reeves.

The RACV Board supports the above candidates and believes that it is in the best interests of members to vote in favour of those candidates. It is extremely important that the Board has an appropriate mix of skills and experience and that directors are able to work together harmoniously in the best interests of the company.

How to Vote

The RACV Board encourages all members to vote in the Board election and respects that the decision to vote for specific candidates is a matter for each individual member. You are entitled to choose to either:

A.  vote for two (2) candidates by ticking the relevant box next to the relevant candidate's names on the ballot paper
OR
B.  tick the box on the ballot paper appointing me as your proxy.

If you have any queries, please contact the Returning Officer on 1300 147 797.
