RACV arevo launches partnership with Flexicar

RACV arevo is continuing to make it easier for Victorians to get around in cost-effective and convenient ways through the formation of a partnership with car share provider, Flexicar.

The partnership with Flexicar will give arevo users who create an account within the journey planner app access to exclusive offers to the Flexicar service.

RACV’s arevo app can be downloaded from the Apple or Google Play store free of charge and includes an intelligent mapping feature which allows users to plan their journey by any mode of transportation – walking, driving, cycling or public transport.

The introductory Flexicar offer available now includes a sign-up offer for new users – $1 joining fee and a $79 credit for a full day of car usage and ongoing access to discounts on selected pods (car spots) each month.

RACV General Manager arevo Mobility, Elizabeth Kim, said RACV was pleased to launch the partnership offering arevo users a fantastic deal on the Flexicar service.

“We know from our members and conversations amongst the Victorian community that car sharing is growing in popularity,” Ms Kim said.

“Car sharing can complement other means of transportation, including biking, walking and public transport. It works better in densely populated areas and for people who have other ways to get around most of the time.

“The concept of car sharing is simple. Customers register online or via an app, then search for and book a car in their neighbourhood. There’s no need to visit a rental counter or even pick up a key. At the end of a journey, the vehicle is returned to the same location.”

There are over 300 vehicles in Flexicar’s Melbourne fleet, with 250 pick-up locations mostly in the inner city, and more than 400 cars nationwide.
